Hanna Mangold (she/her), RMT
Founder/Owner of Studio 138
Massage Therapist
Pilates Instructor
Hanna is a registered massage practitioner and graduate of the Holistic Massage Training Institute in Baltimore, MD. She has additional advanced certification in Ashiatsu from Deep Feet Bar Therapy, Table Thai massage from Living Metta, and cupping from Jim Earley Sports Massage. She is also an ISSA certified Pilates Instructor. A thorough intake form and conversation will help her individualize your massage.
She has developed a Signature Massage style that incorporates elements of Ashiatsu, deep tissue, stretching, myofascial release, and Swedish massage.
Hanna specializes in Ashiatsu massage, a type of deep tissue massage technique where the therapist uses their feet to apply pressure to the client's body. Gravity and body weight help deepen the pressure to the client’s needs, making it a highly effective treatment for releasing tension in the deep muscle tissues and fascia.
Hanna has a lifelong relationship with exercise and body mechanics. As a kid, she watched her mom practice and teach yoga, which helped her build a foundation of mind-body awareness, alignment, and joy in movement. She has always been active, from hiking, paddling, running, aerobics, and climbing, to working physically demanding jobs! The joint stabilizing benefits of pilates style exercise has been integral to her avoiding injury. Staying active is also important to maintaining her mental health. She loves to incorporate elements of yoga, aerobics, barre, and weight-training into her pilates mat routine.
Her many long-time returning clients know she loves helping improve their mind-body awareness, reduce physical pain and tension, manage anxiety, insomnia, depression, and stress.
